Student Regent Selection Procedures

This survey provides an opportunity to provide open-ended feedback to inform the student working group that is drafting a proposal to amend the Student Regent selection process. The goal is to ensure that the nomination process is representative, fair, workable, and confidential. Maintaining confidence in the integrity and legitimacy of the selection process is essential to ensuring that the Student Regent can effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role. The working group is comprised of two representatives each from UCSA, UCGPC, and the Council of Presidents. Their proposal will be circulated for discussion among each of the groups before being recommended to the Office of the Secretary and Chief of Staff to the Regents. The current procedures can be found at Student Regent nomination procedures (PDF).

Your survey response is anonymous. It is an open-ended text box with no character limit. Regents office staff will compile the responses and forward them for consideration by the working group. If you have questions about the survey or the procedures, please contact Clare Sheridan at [email protected].

Please respond promptly for full consideration of your ideas, but no later than October 1.  Thank you very much for your time and input. Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below.
